Family Mediation Training is now available through our two-day seminars.
I’m so pleased that we have been able to link arms with Troy Morgan and the National Mediation Association to offer this specialized training experience. My prayer is that thousands of our members will participate in the trainings and add a new specialty to their counseling ministries. Troy Morgan is Nationally Recognized for his expertise in family mediation and is an excellent presenter. You won’t be disappointed.
Warmly,
Tim Clinton

As a Trained Family Mediator You Will be Able to:
- Mediate conflicts between parents and children, couples over parenting issues or spending habits — everyday problems that, left unresolved, can fracture family unity and trust.
- Mediate issues raised in a divorce or legal separation. Such issues include property, support, custody and visitation. Mediate issues with couples at any stage of the separation and divorce process — even couples who have previously divorced through the court system and wish to resolve new problems.
Family Mediation Offers the Following Advantages:
- Offers personal control over the settlement.
- Inflicts less emotional trauma on spouses and children involved.
- Less time-consuming than escalating court battles.
- Less costly than the adversarial process, due to the active involvement of the couple & the mediator.
- Provides a single, reliable source of information, thus eliminating conflicts before they arise.
- Divorce mediation is private and helps avoid the distress and embarrassment of a public court battle.
- Studies show that couples who have worked together through a mediator are over three times more likely to uphold the terms of their agreement than couples who have divorced through the adversarial system.
Meet Your Trainer

Sandra Dopf
Sandra Dopf spent 4 years as the Director of Women’s Ministry while also speaking and life coaching in the areas of women’s issues. That path changed after divorce became a part of her world and left her to navigate the steps to the legal system, single-parenting, single-again living, accompanied by the financial and emotion challenges. This being no easy mountain to climb Sandra was at the end of herself and handed her messy life to the only One capable of mending it – our amazing God – our healer.
Sandra is the founding Director of Divorce Guidance, and has spent the last 7 years providing a light during the painful process of divorce. She offers Christian mediation, life coaching for survival, rebuilding and thriving during divorce, remarriage; blending families; and co-parenting, growth groups and seminars for the unique road blocks faced during and after divorce. Over the last 4 years Sandra has had an active role as Vice President to the Mecklenburg Collaborative Law team and steering team, working with attorneys in developing the new approach to divorce in a less damaging and adversarial style which is how divorce is most often approached. This past year she accepted a position with the American Association of Christian Counselors to speak, write and teach a certified training program for mediation to work with people going through divorce. Sandra passionately lives by her belief that there can be peace and hope during a fearful life change, even through divorce.
She is a graduate of North Texas State; of C.L.A.S.S. (Christian Leaders and Seminar Speakers), Mediation, INC., and holds several certifications in the areas of Collaborative Law, crisis counseling, and life coach. Sandra has been featured on the radio, television, and often speaks for events, workshops and weekend retreats.
