Description
Ministry can be hazardous. Christian counselors need to be equipped to address the risk factors
facing Christian leaders. Counselors need to know what is unique to this population and how to
address the issues that arise as a result. This workshop will focus on the top six significant issues
ministry professionals face as found in the presenters?۪ doctoral research. Attendees will
discover the causation of these issues and explore counseling techniques which address the
heart of the matter.

Learning Objectives
Participants will:
- Assess those in professional ministry for the six most significant issues with which those in ministry struggle, which will contribute to developing an accurate plan of care
- Investigate the context of pastors and their susceptibility to certain problems, which will help participants develop an appropriate treatment plan for Christian leaders
- Practice the use of experiential techniques applicable to struggling ministry leaders that can be incorporated into an overall model of intervention for those in ministry
