Description
The fight against addictions can be overwhelming. Although one may be powerless over
addiction, he or she is not helpless. The 12-step model of recovery offers a unique way to
combat addiction. To understand how the model works, it is important to take a look at the
origins of addiction and its treatment providers. The Church has a unique opportunity to raise
an individual?۪s awareness and acceptance of the unmanageability in his or her life as a result of
the addiction.
