Description
So many people worry about so many things, in so many ways. When is it just someone?۪s personality? When is fear justified? When is anxiety way out of proportion? Is it just you?
Just how prevalent is anxiety? According to the National Institutes of Health, almost 40 million American adults suffer from an anxiety disorder. In August 2018, Barnes & Noble announced a massive 25% surge in the sale of books about anxiety over the same period from just one year earlier. While depression has been the predominant mental health disorder for the past several generations, anxiety now rivals depression as the preeminent mental health challenge. An anxiety disorder is not a temporary concern over a stressful situation, like making a presentation at work. Anxiety disorders show themselves by a notable characteristic: they
do not go away and, left untreated, they get progressively worse. In this enlightening presentation, Dr. Gregory Jantz explains the different kinds of anxiety, their varying symptoms and characteristics, and the best approach for care. He details why a whole-person approach to anxiety treatment leads to the best lasting results for the client.
