Description

Current events in both the secular and professional worlds
have exposed the problem of the abuse of power and the
deception that both accompanies it and keeps it hidden. It
is critical as therapists that we understand power and how
it is abused, as well as both deceptions of self and others.
This plenary will also consider the impact of these things
on the Church and ways to both think about and respond
to them.

Presented by: Diane Langberg, Ph.D.

Learning Objectives
Participants will:

  1. Consider kinds of power and how they are exercised and abused
  2. Look at the process of self-deception and how it is habituated over time
