Description
This workshop is based on the work of Virginia Satir. She is famous for saying, ???The problem is
not the problem. Behaviors are the symptoms of deeper issues.? She also said that 95% of what
is normally talked about in counseling is behaviors and behavioral solutions. For counseling to
be effective, it needs to deal with deeper coping behaviors, feelings, perceptions, needs,
desires, and truth. This is what she called the Iceberg model. This workshop will present how to
use the Iceberg model in effective Christian counseling.

- Learn why only focusing on behavioral solutions does not lead to deeper emotional and spiritual healing and long-term sobriety
