Transformative

Our natural instinct is to avoid pain at all costs. After all, we’re not masochists! But avoiding the pain of significant loss inevitably leads to more suffering compounded by confusion, discouragement, and resentment. In spite of every urge to deny the impact of our losses, we have to move into our sorrow so we can move through it.

Frankly, we’re not very good at grieving, and we need some help so we can respond with wisdom, patience, and strength. In this workbook, Kevin Ellers shares his insights, learned from decades of helping people grieve productively. In these pages, he becomes our partner in the journey, encouraging us to face our losses with courage, take steps forward, and eventually ask, “What now?” instead of “Why?”

Kevin’s advice is based on his own experience and the stories of countless others who have waded through the dark corridors of heartache. And his promise is this: if you work your way through the process of grief, you’ll come out on the other side wiser, stronger, and more compassionate than you ever imagined.
