Summary
This workshop will cover guidelines for establishing an ethical and effective lay counseling or lay helping ministry in the Church using two significant models: informal organized and formal organized. The selection, training, supervision, and evaluation of lay counselors or lay helpers and the mental health professional’s role in lay helping will also be described and discussed.
