Summary
This track workshop presentation will review the empirical evidence for both post-traumatic growth through suffering and adverse experiences and post-ecstatic growth through joyful and positive experiences. It will also cover some clinical applications of both and provide a Christian, biblical perspective on growth through suffering and joyful experiences (Tan, 2019).

Participants will:
• Identify post-traumatic growth and summarize its empirical evidence
• Outline post-ecstatic growth and describe its empirical evidence
• Formulate clinical applications for licensed mental health professionals of both post-traumatic growth and post-ecstatic growth, and a Christian perspective on growing through both suffering and joyful experiences
