Counselor

Cedarville University is seeking to hire a Counselor to be responsible for individual and group counseling, testing, resource and referral services. This is a full time, nine month, exempt position that reports to the Director for Student Development. (1560 annual hours)

Position Responsibilities:

Provide general counseling services, both individual and in groups for students
Assist students in overcoming spiritual, emotional, or situational impediments to college success
Serve as a resource and referral person to faculty, staff, alumni, pastors and missionaries
Plan and execute appropriate student development workshops or groups
Engage in professional development activities
Conduct testing when appropriate
Intercede in crisis situations and assist deans and residence life hall staff in such situations
Conduct institutional research as needed or directed by the Administration

Position Requirements:

Master’s degree in counseling or related field
Possess Ohio licensure (e.g. LPC) or is willing to complete licensure requirements
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
