How can I become a member of AACC?
To become a member, simply visit the AACC membership page and select the option that best fits your role. Membership levels include Presidential, Professional, Student, and Church/Organization.
What is the refund policy for AACC memberships?
AACC offers a 30-day refund policy for new memberships or for those rejoining after more than 365 days. Please note that there are no refunds on auto-renewals.
How can I access Continuing Education (CE) credits through AACC?
AACC provides various opportunities to earn CE credits:
- Counseltalk Webinars: Participate in monthly live webinars to earn CE hours from the comfort of your home or office. After attending, you’ll receive your CE letter once you’ve completed the corresponding webinar quiz and evaluation.
- Christian Counseling Today Magazine: Read our quarterly publication and complete the accompanying quiz to earn CE credits. Your CE letter will be emailed to you upon successful completion of the quiz.
- Light University Courses: Access a range of online courses offering CE credits to enhance your professional development by visiting https://www.lightuniversity.com.

What types of Continuing Education (CE) credits does AACC offer?
AACC offers a wide range of Continuing Education (CE) credits for professionals in counseling, mental health, ministry, and related fields. These are available through live and recorded webinars, self-paced online courses, magazine quizzes, in-person conferences, and intensive workshops—designed to meet various learning preferences and busy schedules.
AACC is an approved provider of CE credits through several major certifying bodies, including the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), the International Board of Christian Care (IBCC) and its affiliated boards (BCPPC, BCLC, BMHC, BCCTR), the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), and CE approval for Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) in various states. Select programs also offer continuing education for psychologists, social workers, licensed professional counselors, chemical dependency counselors, medical doctors (MDs), nurses, physician assistants, and more.
CEs are accessible through the AACC Learning Center, Light University, and events such as national conferences, virtual trainings, and specialized intensives. How do I earn CE credits through AACC?
You can earn CE credits by attending live Counseltalk webinars, completing online courses available on the AACC portal, reading the quarterly Christian Counseling Today magazine and passing the associated quizzes, or participating in approved events and workshops.
Are AACC CE credits accepted by licensing boards?
Yes, AACC CE credits are accepted by many state licensing boards and professional organizations. However, requirements vary by state, so it’s important to verify with your licensing board to ensure compliance.
How do I access and track my CE certificates?
Once you complete a CE activity, your certificate will be available for download in your AACC member portal.
What should I do if I have questions or issues with my CE credits or certificates?
If you experience any problems or have questions about your CE credits, certificates, or evaluations, please submit a request through the AACC support form or contact the Continuing Education team directly at continuingeducation@aacc.net. They will assist you promptly.

How do I find my member benefits?
Once logged into your AACC account you will click on My Account and then Membership Details. There you will click on your membership and all of your online benefits.
How do I find my Liability Insurance Form?
Once logged into your AACC account, you will click on My Account and then Membership Details. You will see your membership listed and will be able to click on the view Liability on the right side of the page.
How do I sign up for a Webinar?
Make sure you are logged into your AACC account and click on Webinars. On that page you will be able to choose either one with CE’s or one without CE’s. Once registered, you will receive an email prior to the event on how to watch. You will always have access as long as you are pre-registered.
How do I receive my CE’s after a Webinar?
If you watched LIVE, you would complete an evaluation immediately after the webinar. Once you submit, your CE will be downloaded into your account. If you did not watch the webinar LIVE, you can still receive CE credit. After you watch the webinar, you will have a quiz, then an evaluation. Once submitted, your CE letter will be available in your account.
What if I have not received my Membership Packet?
If you have not received your new Welcome Packet or your Renewal Packet, please log into your account and ensure your address is correct. If it is not, please go ahead and update at this time, then please email contactmemberservices@aacc.net to let us know and we will send a new one out to you.
