Summary
LOVE NEEDS is a proven and practical counseling tool (assessment and book) to help licensed mental health professionals, pastors, and lay leaders navigate a new and deeper look into how to love better. This material is based on the surveys and research of more than 3,000 couples conducted by therapists, Dr. Mike and Rhonda Garrett, in both a clinical setting and a mega-church environment. The goal of this hands-on training will be to equip graduate-level mental health participants in the skill of assessing and guiding Christian clients with spiritual techniques and essential action steps for meaningful emotional connection. The assessment tool is free to those who attend the workshop.
Learning Objectives
Participants will:
• Describe and discuss the background and development of the LOVE NEEDS assessment and workbook
• Utilize the new LOVE NEEDS assessment to list a personal “Top 10 Languages of Loving”
• Identify best practices for using the LOVE NEEDS assessment for couples counseling, whether by a licensed mental health professional or in a non-clinical setting
