Summary
Pandemic-produced fears and phobias have become the “malignant disease of the ‘what-if’s,’ the exponential growth of imaginary disasters that can choke off rational thought.” More human suffering can be attributed to negative anticipation of a situation than the actual event itself. In today’s COVID culture, counselors, pastors, and mental-health agencies are being inundated with people seeking help for the relentless manipulation and intimation of fear. Today’s news media focus on fear-saturated circumstances and headline a seamless list of reasons to be anxious and worried. The collateral damage from unmanaged fears impacts every area of life and living. The good news, and scope of this workshop, is that there are specific, biblically sound, and professional counseling strategies that help us manage the collateral damage from the COVID crisis of our times.

Participants will:
• Develop a strategy/environment that motivates clients to face their fears in the context of spiritual faith with a licensed mental health professional or psychologist
